Thank you First Baptist Church, Van Vleck family for joining our Lord and calling me here to be your pastor. We've only been here a month and there are still mountains of boxes to unpack yet, Georgia, Drew, and I genuinely feel at "home" with you. Time and time again, we are blessed and impressed with the unity of God's purpose being worked out through the diversity of God's people;know as First Baptist Church, Van Vleck..
By this time, we have seen you loving and leading people to Jesus through Sunday School, worship services, discipling, nursing home services, and ministering to those in loss. This week you have come together to put on a quality Vacation Bible School - "Saddle Ridge Ranch, Roundin' Up Questions...Drivin' Home Answeres. James 1:5". During the week I said more than once," If the children are enjoying themselves half as much as I am, they are still having a lot of fun learning about Jesus."
The summer ahead looks bright as we continue to shine Christ's Light through our regular ministries with the addition of camps for our Youth, G.A.s, and R.A.s at Texas Baptist Encampment, Palacios.
In the midst of all this, I am becoming better aquainted with you in my personal visits to your homes, work places, and yes, in your hospital rooms as well. My aim is to visit all of you, so please call me with a time that is best for a visit in your home, work place, or when you are hospitalized.
